'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the home
Not a creature was stirring, not even Yoda's giant dome;
The stockings were hung far out of the way
In the hopes that the dogs wouldn't eat them one day.
The puppies were nestled all snug in their human's bed,
While visions of chasing mail men danced in their heads.
And mamma in her PJ's and Dad in his night time gear,
Had just settled down for a nice cold beer.
When out on the poo covered lawn there arose such a clatter,
The dogs ran to the window to see what was the matter. With barking and sniffing, they moved like a fiend,
They tore through the curtains and broke the last blind.
The moon on the breast of the yellow snow
Gave the luster of mid-day objects below.
When, what to their wondering eye should appear,
But a miniature sleight and eight tiny reindeer.
And then, in a twinkling, the dogs heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As Bean and Yoda jumped off of the chair,
Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bit of fanfare.
He spoke not a word, but was sniffed by the each dog,
He filled all of the stockings then turned to face the Yule Log.
And laying a finger aside of his nose
We knew a dog fart had wafted and arose.
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team he gave a whistle,
To which all the dogs began to wiggle.
I heard him exclaim as hey flew out of sight
"HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL DOGS A GOOD NIGHT!"
